The Center for Practice Innovations (CPI) supports the New York State Office of Mental Health’s mission to promote the widespread availability of evidence-based practices to improve mental health services, ensure accountability, and promote recovery-oriented outcomes for consumers and families. The CPI serves as a key resource to OMH by spreading those practices identified by OMH as most critical to accomplish OMH’s system-transformation initiatives.
We are pleased to announce the appointment of Lisa Dixon, M.D., M.P.H. as the Director of the Center for Practice Innovations, effective April 1, 2012. Presenters’ Biography
Patricia Lincourt, LCSW, CASAC, received her Master's degree in Social Work from the University at Albany in 1985. She has over 20 years of clinical and administrative experience in chemical dependency, mental health and child welfare settings. She has an interest in evidence-based practice adoption and implementation with particular interests in Motivational Interviewing and Co-occurring Disorder treatment. As the Program Director for the Schoharie County Chemical Dependency Clinic from 1989-2001, she developed a group model for mandated clients based on Motivational Interviewing. She attended the 1997 MI Train the Trainer and is a member of the Motivational Interviewing Network of Trainers (MINT). She is currently working at the New York State Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services in the Clinical Services Unit. She maintains a small private practice in Albany, New York.
