Assertive Community Treatment Online Module Wins Two Awards!

We’re pleased to announce this special recognition!

The Center for Practice Innovations ( at Columbia Psychiatry, Research Foundation for Mental Hygiene and its partner, Allen Communication Learning Services ( are the proud recipients of two awards for the Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) basic training course.

The 2011 Bronze Omni Award  

Since 1997, the Omni Awards have recognized the accomplishments of outstanding media production in an array of fields. The winners are determined by a panel of three peer professionals who judge each submission based upon a rigorous set of criteria. In that way, winners have the distinction of being selected by their colleagues as an example of excellence.

The 2010 Silver Horizon Interactive Award
The Horizon Interactive Awards competition was created in 2001 to recognized excellence in interactive media production worldwide. It has received thousands of entries from countries around the world. Entries are judged by an international, volunteer panel of industry professionals with diverse backgrounds and various roles within the interactive media industry. Judges look for the best blend between creativity and functionality. Each entry is judged on the following: solution creativity and originality; overall graphic design, appearance, user experience; communication of message, technical merit; and effectiveness of solution.
