Uniform Clinical Network Provider Training

The Center for Practice Innovations, Partnership to End Addiction and the New York State Health Plan Association have collaborated to develop the Adult Uniform Clinical Network Provider Training (UCNPT).

The Children’s Uniform Clinical Network Provider Training (UCNPT) team consists of the Managed Care Technical Assistance Center (MCTAC) & the Community Technical Assistance Center (CTAC) at the McSilver Institute, ;the Center for Practice Innovations, and Partnership to End Addiction.

The Adult Uniform Clinical Network Provider Training

  • Federal and State regulations require that Medicaid managed care plans monitor and ensure the quality of services offered by contracted network providers.
  • We offer a unified state‐of‐the art web‐based training for Medicaid managed care network providers in clinical core competencies and evidence‐based practices for mental health and substance use disorder services.
  • All article 31/ 32 behavioral health providers and PROS programs participating in a Medicaid managed care plans statewide are invited to enroll.
  • You may earn 9 Continuing education units for social work, CASAC or LMHC at no cost when completing all the UCNPT training.

The Children's Uniform Clinical Network Provider Training

  • As part of the New York State Children’s Medicaid System Transformation, children’s behavioral health services have transitioned to Medicaid managed care.
  • The Children’s Uniform Clinical Network Provider Training is designed to help prepare behavioral health providers who are part of Medicaid Managed Care Plan (MMCPs) networks to meet the behavioral health needs of the children, adolescents young adults, and families they serve.
  • These trainings offer unified state-of-the art web-based learning for Medicaid managed care network providers in critical topic areas such as clinical core competencies and evidence-based practices.
  • Providers serving children/youth aged birth to 21 and offering the following services in New York State are encouraged to complete these trainings: Outpatient child-serving clinics, Children and Family Treatment and Support Services (CFTSS), Children’s Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS), OASAS prevention providers, and Article 29-I Health Facilities and Voluntary Foster Care Agencies.
  • You may earn 5.25 Continuing Education Units for social work, CASAC or LMHC at no cost when completing all the UCNPT training.
