CRESTNY: Strengthening Interdisciplinary Teams in Crisis Care

The interdisciplinary nature of crisis response teams is key to providing efficient, well-rounded comprehensive support to those receiving crisis care. With such variety in scope of practice, expertise, and professional values between Peer specialists, Clinicians, and Medical providers– how can teams successfully navigate these dynamics and create collaborative environments with mutual respect for the value each role can bring? This webinar explores the unique competencies of interdisciplinary collaboration in crisis response. Attendees can expect to explore common challenges and how power and role hierarchy can influence team dynamics, uplift the uniqueness and value of the Peer role, and learn practical strategies and skillsets that support team cohesion. The session will also provide opportunities for reflective practice of personal and organizational level responsibilities in creating psychological safety in the workplace for continuous improvement, addressing diverse needs, and reducing conflict.
