Bio: Faria Islam is a graduate of Columbia University with a bachelor's degree in psychology and women’s and gender studies. Her experiences as an executive director of Active Minds and as a research intern at Columbia University Department of psychology have taught her how to support people with mental health issues. She enjoys this type of work because she wants to change the conversation on mental health and make it more accessible and less stigmatizing for young people who want to talk about it. She is very excited to start working as a youth coordinator at OnTrackNY!
